Had some toe-rag in a light green megane spin in the road and then rearranged the rear offside of my 07 E61 a couple of weeks ago, then drive off!!!
Just had the call from Bodyrepairers, 5k worth of damage...new rear quarter, rear door, two wheels/tyres,and some suspension parts
Luckily these beemers are strong old panzers!
Roll-on two weeks when I get it back

Rear quarter is just about the worst place to hit any car, in terms of repair cost...
Worse is only the roof I guess!
Why the two wheels/tyres? I can imagine the rear wheel to be damaged, but the tyres?

I was just about to write my story about hit and run, when I noticed your thread. I fetched my car from my local dealer's paintshop two weeks ago. The rear bumper had to be changed and painted, because I was hit in the back by a Volkswagen. That one went fine. The lady admitted it was her fault and the repairs were paid by her insurance.
Yesterday somebody had hit the very same rear bumper again in the garage of our office. The one who did the damage, did not leave any note or anything. Nobody has seen it and there is no electonic surveillance in the garage. Thanks a lot! It costs 1000 euros to get the car back in shape again. I'll get half of it back from my insurance company, but 500 euros is a lot of money, too. I'm so pissed off.
And I'm sorry for your accident, too mjh1302

Luckily my excess is 350,the tyre on the left side was pushed sideways into a kerb, the other got damaged by the metalwork cutting into it.
