Default Help with some trouble codes.

I have been having some issues with my 2007 E61 530Xi for a few months now and I am looking for some advice. The problems have been intermittent.

The symptoms are as follows:
1. When warm and sitting at a stop the vehicle will idle smoothly but will dip low very briefly and then come right back up to idling smooth. It repeats this sequence about every 20 to 40 seconds. This condition is fairly consistent after driving more than 30 miles.

2. After being driven and fully warmed up when slowly accelerating the car will become jerky between 20 and 30 MPH. It feels like it is starting to misfire, or is trying having a hard time selecting which gear it should be in. This typically happens when I have slowed down for a 90 degree corner but do not come to a complete stop. It has also happened when I had to slow down for someone else turning in front of me.

3. When stepping on the gas and bringing the car near redline, I would get random misfires in cylinders 3 and 5. I replaced the coil packs and I don't think it has done this in over 1 month.

Other than these issues the car runs good and appears to have full power. I changed the plugs about 15K miles ago and noticed that it appears that the valve cover gasket was leaking into the spark plug holes. I have not had time to get this replaced, I have the parts, I just need to get it done.

I took it to a trusted independent shop this week and unfortunately they were unable to reproduce the issues. However they did correct a DMTL fine leak detection error 002A15, updated the software for multiple modules, and changed the transfer case oil as error code 0054C6 was present.

Today I once again experienced issues 1 and 2. Issue number 2 lasted for about 10 seconds and the CEL started to flash, and then came on solid. After the CEL became solid, I could tell that it had shut down 2 cylinders. I pulled the codes using my Carly BMW bluetooth adapter and these are the codes that came up:

Motor Control:
Engine / Motor
Failure detection cyl.5 Code: 0029CF
Failure detection cyl.3 Code: 0029CE
Failure detection cyl.9 Code: 0029D0 (I thought that the description for this one is incorrect in the Carly software, But I am unable to confirm the actual trouble code.)
Failure detection checksum Code: 0029CC

Instrument cluster:
Instrument cluster / Kombiinstrument
RDC failure Code: 00A3C3
Air suspension failure Code: 00A3C7
Terminal shutdown Code: 00A559

Phone / Telefon
Ring break diagnosis error Code: 00D690

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I would have your voltage tested. Sounds like a regulator/rectifier failure on your alternator.
