Default Help with my boot

Hi I have just bought a 5 series 520d 2009 touring when I got home noticed a number plate light was out its not the bulb or holder so I'm guessing it's a crimped wire I've been reading other chats for advice ....but when investigating this problem I noticed all the modules are in the left hand pocket in the boot all loose looking at other chats it looks like there should be a foam tray that holds them under the spare wheel there's no tray there can anyone help me on where they should be also when lifting the wheel there's no toolkit or jack which type do I need so I can ebay for replacement

I would not worry about the foam insert because the modules should be moved up out of that area. BMW jack toolkit has a flat mini jack. It is not cheap though. A small bottle jack is much more economical.

People move them up above the wheel well behind that panel (if not already there).
