My Ride: 2005 BMW-Alpina B5 Touring #007, Malachite Green w/ Caramel Individual interior
1999 BMW 840Ci Sport Individual, Techno Violet w/ Champagne Individual interior
Hi guys...
I've been a member since early 2005, but haven't really posted anything until now.
I have a 2005 BMW-Alpina B5 Touring, in Individual Malachite Green, with Extended Individual Perforated Caramel Merino leather, black alcantara headliner and the usual Alpina interior tweaks (blue/green rhoms, roundels, etc.), Dark Poplar wood, rather than Alpina's own Edelholz (too red!).
Great car - c.520-530ps in an E61 is quite a giggle - mine is production number 007 and the first customer car, worldwide. I picked him up from Buchloe in November last year.

Nice ride! I'd love a fast tourer too - not bad being the first customer for one!

Thanks, Darron.
I'm curious about your new iPod interface - are you going for the official one, in place of the 6-disc CD changer?

Hythe,
I keep swinging between ideas but am favoring the BMW version. The contenders are...
BMW Aux in - dont like as i want to use the iDrive interface
Dension i500 - quite like this one but am still waiting for its release and have heard of some problems with it
BMW iPod interface - quoted ?400 supplied and fitted which is not cheap and it replicates a CD changer so is not as integrates as i would like but is the best bet at the moment
Curiously my dealer said that the CD Changer still works after this is installed - not sure if this is true but it would be nice.
Will let you know once i go for it

All the evidence I've seen suggests the iPod interface sits in the place once occupied by the CD changer, though I'd love to be proven wrong...

He said that it is left loose in the glove box I queried him on this but sensed he was winging it a bit so who knows...
