Default Has anyone on this forum installed F/R sway bars?

Trying to reduce lean in corners w/o spending the money on full coilovers and installation (above the wife $ detection zone...). Don't want H&R springs and there are no replacement shocks for the 2008 US E61's which all have x Drive and the rear air spring. Looking into "RD Sport Anti Sway-Bar Kit HOLLOW 30.2/22.2mm ADJUSTABLE E60/E61 xDrive" and am waiting for RD to see if they actually fit.

Has anyone installed sway bars on their E61? If so, what brand and how did it change the handling?

Yep. Searched on Sway Bars and found lots of coilover and H&R lowering spring discussions...

Really? Maybe you didn't look hard enough.

I just searched for "sway" and hit these two that talk about them and strut bars:

I installed a M5 rear sway all i can say is it fits, kw's had my setup pretty tight already plus i changed ride height at the same damn time.. and it was considerably bigger than the peny stock sway..

But from mine (on other cars) and others experiences sway bars are worth the trouble.. There was a thread about some chassis bracing equipment, i'll see if i can dig it up..

I love the stock ride. Would love to kill some roll. Good to know the m5 sway will fit the rear. Would be fantastic to have a front and rear set tuned for this car.

I have an early set of the RD bars for the E61 xi...installed last week. They are awesome. Still a great ride but the handling feel is greatly improved.
