Maybe it's w/o the roof rails....

chrisod,
Nice ride! You'll have a lot of fun! Hope we'll get rid of the stupid swedish diesel tax soon!

Regarding the taxes, I've started to ask the authority (vagverket) about their proposal, that it will be reduced for Eu4 diesel cars registered AFTER jan-01 2006. But what about our cars? Should we be punished just because we bought then to soon?

I ended up quit high before they slapped in my face that it?s up to the government to decide. Thanks, lets put our trust there!

Don't say things like that....I was hoping it's to high?!?

That approx. the same consumption as on my prior 525i -02.

You out there that have the 535d, can one hope for a decrease in consumption after breaking in the bearings and other moving parts or is this what I get?

I have a consumption in mixed driving that is pretty consistent now after 40.000 kms at 6.9l on 124s and 6.7l with smaller winter wheels. It?s a 530d of course but according to BMW the consumption should be almost the same on a 535d. This is with a rather conservative driving style but nothing fancy like ecodriving etc. (speedlimit + 10% on the speedometer)
(as I?ve reported before this is almost 40% higher consumption than what I was able to get from a 320d under the exact same driving conditions - I was hoping for only a 20-30% increase over the 320d)
Also the change of consumption compared to when brand new is minimal compared to the 320d that actually went down in consumption a good 10% between new and 15000kms

best

That's how I understood V?gverket's proposal too. It's not fair. IMO EU4 is EU4. Maybe the car reregister the car or something at bilprovningen and get a EU4 certificate.

The car already has the Eu4 certificate. That?s something they can't change, but they can set a date of first registration.

Though we can have another problem, I've heard something about an additional limit of CO2 emissions at 200 g/km, our cars has 216 g/km according to the certification.

That's true. When I ordered my 530d there was no other alternative. The 525i was too weak and the 545i felt too expensive and the 535d wasn't available yet. Don't care about the extra tax that much... But if I'd ordered the same car today it would be the new 530i... (Because I don't want to pay that extra tax due to our goverment's lack of knowledge...).
