Default A few problems - Gearbox, Diff, Vibrations and fuel heater

Hi all!!

It's been a while.... cars been running fine, with no major issues and decent mpg

I am now looking at rectifying a few other issues on this dog of a car, to finally clear all the codes on INPA -

1) I never got rid of the fuel heater fault (the part that connects to the fuel filter), upon clearing the code it appears almost immediately - so the underside will come off this weekend to check connections.

2) Differential oil - is this a nice easy driveway change? what grade do you use?

3) Gearbox oil - can anyone recommend a garage near Sheffield? The changes are getting a little long now, I still have the rev twitch, so I'm hoping this will sort the issues (must be due given the cars on 144k!)

4) Exhaust flap - after searching on Google, a member of another forum suggested that if this isn't working, then theres likely to be a hose issue under the bonnet, I've replaced all my vac hoses with silicone, so need a bit of help to understand where the other failure could be?

5) and lastly, I'm now getting a fault and noticeable judder on cold when the car is rolling, in first mostly. The code says something along the lines of 'Engine vibration controller fault' - after googling I dont think there is such a thing? (someone on another forum mentioned the vac pipes on the engine mounts)

Any help much appreciated gents

Tim

Not sure what the exhaust flap has to do with vac lines under the hood...

The electrical part in your link has 2 hoses to it, one from the exhaust valve itself, the other from the front of the car, its powered by the vacuum system, it must go right through to under the bonnet and connect to the cars vac pipes in some way...
