My E61 M Sport has a factory fitted tow bar. The manual type, not the automatic electric one.

I had a couple of questions for your guys with these. First, how do I remove the panel from the rear bumper that gives access to the tow bar connector ? Any tips for not breaking it because it looks kinda delicate / easy to scratch.

Second, I bought my car one-year old and only just noticed I do not have any electrical lead for the tow bar to take electrics from car to trailer ? Stupid of me I should have noticed that when I bough it, but it's too late now. Does anyone have pic or part No for that electical cable?

Thanks.

The panel just pops out; give in a gentle tug.

Not sure where you're located but convention in most areas is that the cable is fixed to the trailer with a plug at the end and the car has a socket. On my E61 the 13 pin socket is located behind the cover and swivels down for use.
