The et if you have a 4-wheel driven e61 is 43mm and 20mm if you have a front wheel driven.
Does anyone know why the big difference ?
Is the wheel to wheel width different ?
And is it possible to mount rims with et 20 on a x-driven car ?

Difference in wheel offset (ET) requirements is because thedrive mechanicals are different.
Track width is different, yes.
ET20 wheels on E61X.. depends on rimwidth and z-factor but generally no..

I have to ask what on earth the dealer was doing when you were buying your car, and where all the BMW advertising cash has gone for a buyer to buy a "front wheel drive" 5 series.. anyway..

I have now seen 166-wheels with et 20 mounted on a x-driven e60 but it looks a bit to wide for my taste.
Further I?ve been scanning the forum and found out that the optimal wheels for x-models might be:
Front 8,5" et 40
Rear 9,5" et 45
What do you guys think ?
