E63 wheels on E61

Hi, I have won a nice set of wheels for my E61 on eBay. I have now just found out that the wheels come of a E63.
The wheels should have been:
Front alloy wheels: 19x8.5" ET20 - 245/35R19
Rear alloy wheels: 19x9.5" ET24 - 275/30R19
But they are:
Front alloy wheels: 19x8.5" ET12 - 245/40R19
Rear alloy wheels: 19x9.5" ET17 - 275/35R19
I am completely lost or can I fit these wheels to my E61 with a different tire size and ET? What would the difference be?

from my calculations your gonna be 8mm pushed out in the front and 7mm out in the rear. take a tape rule and see if you have that kinda room in there.. i would think you do unless your totally pushed out now.. another member showed me this calculator it's easier for me to use..

Thanks.. I get this " THE SAME clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will extend to THE SAME point as the stock wheel" so there should be no problem..? I have tried to test my stock 17" and they give the same info..

The ET values look perfect for the E61 -- it looks like the same sizes as the M6 wheels (type M167 or M166) -- do you know what you have won?
The only issue is the tyres that differ from the normal E60 sizes. You have 245/40 (98mm) instead of 245/35 (85,75mm) and 275/35 (96,25mm) instead of 275/30 (82.5mm). So that basically means your tyre walls are 12.25mm higher on the front and 13,75 higher on the rear. It depends how low your car is, however 1-1.5cm on the front and rear should not be an issue on sport or m-sport suspension equiped cars.
I see you have used the same websites I would use to calculate the over dimensions, so just go have a look how much space you have in your wheel arch.
To be on the safe side, just get them to swap to the standard E60 19" tyre sizes and you will have a set-up with perfect fitment and no need for spacers

They will fit perfectly with the right size tyres!

Thanks.. I should get the wheels this weekend. The tires are used but from last year (Pirelli Pzero) so I will give them a try.. My car is not lowered!

thats totally bizarre, because I am taking delivery of my new (for me) 20" Alpina wheels tomorrow evening!! So we're both joining the Alpina club
I will keep the rest of my M-Sport pack as it is, so am just replacing the wheels. The Alpina wheels and the overall look is just timeless and classy IMHO. Your Touring is going to look GREAT!

Congrats guys, I am glad to see some Alpina-inspired cars in the E61 section!
I am particularly impatient to see pics of mop's car - what colour is it?
(And I'm sure xbmwx will hit the nail on the head again - so far he has not missed..)
