Hello all, my first post on the forums!
Had been checking this forum for some time as i knew i was getting a E61 (specially for retrofits ^^), finally got my new car yesterday (went to buy it in germany)

Now about the wheels again (yes i know there are alot of topics about this)
i would like to get the M 167 model M6 wheels but the normal size comes as 19" 8.5j ET12, 9.5j ET17
My problem is that the car will consume much more fuel and perform alot less if i fit 265 or wider tires on the rear.
I see that the absolute mimimum tire size is 255 for 9.5j wheels.
so the question is what to do?

I think the perfect size would be
front: size 19", 235 tires, 8.0J or 8.5j wheels, offset??
rear: size 19", 245 tires, 8.5j or 9j wheels, offset??

i'm not sure if they make 8.0j for 19" wheels.
any ideas on what to do?

Also i found a site where you can put the wheels on the car to get a preview

Hey Moderators: How about a FAQ or sticky post regarding wheels for XI cars?

This is a regular question on "Will these fit"... if we had a listing someplace (photos would be great) of what fits the AWD E60/E61s we might be much better informed.


Sorry I don't have your answer, but an area addressing the unique wheel concerns of the XI cars could be a great addition to the site.
