E61 stalls

Hey everyone , I am new here. I am own a 2006 E61 with winter package. Usually the car drives great but the other day it started stalling when idling and sputter when driving at times. When I arrived home I pulled out the Foxwell and scanned the car the following codes appeared: 2E7C BSD DATA BUS COMMUNICATION FAULT, 2E81 DME ELECTRICAL COOLANT PUMP SPEED DEVIATION, 2E8B INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR MISSING, 2EA1 OIL CONDITION SENSOR MISSING. I am aware that the BSD connects all of these items and if one is bad it affects the other. My water pump and thermostat was replaced when I purchased the car in April of this year and I can read my oil condition on the display. I started troubleshooting what I thought might be the culprit the IBS. I disconnected the IBS from the DME/BSD connector cleared the codes waited and rescanned now the only code that appeared was 2E8B INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR MISSING. I assumed this was the issue and moved forward ordering a new IBS sensor and installed it, I took the car for a drive with the new IBS installed only for the car to sputter and then completely stall when I arrived home. When I attempt to start it the engine just shuts off , once again I rescanned this time the only code displayed is 2E7C BSD DATA BUS COMMUNICATION FAULT. I really need help resolving this, I hope someone can help me make sense of this its driving me crazy. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty new to this forum. My take on it is it's pretty dead as far as help goes. I think a lot of people have moved on. I find the E60 forum a little more helpful when I have questions about my E61 that are not wagon specific like yours. Another place you may try are the Facebook groups. Be fore warned. Intelligence seems dead on there. Grammar is sometimes non-existent. However there are some knowledgeable people on there. I just miss the maturity. There is an E60/61 group and an n54 group as well as a few others.

I wish I could help you more. I'm on here today researching a problem I'm having. Good luck.

Is the IBS a BMW OEM part of aftermarket? And have you checked the state of charge on the battery itself to avoid any undervoltage electrical gremlins?

There's a good writeup here which may help you out: https://bmw.spoolstreet.com/threads/...ns-fault.4719/

Good luck - let us know how you make out with this.
