Thumbs up

I'm looking to replace my wife's 2007 Audi A4 Avant Quattro 2.0T with a n E61 wagon. Granted that she came from an Escalade to the Avant, it was a big change for her. We're now looking for something in the middle. We've test-driven a couple of E61s, but failed to ask if the panoramic sunroof is a standard feature. If so, is it for all MY (2006+) builds or did it begin with the a certain MY (2007 or 2008)? I went to BMWusa.com to build one online, but didn't see it as an option.

Thanks in advance.

Here in Eu it's an option (and expensive one). It might be different on your market.

I europe is optional.

You can not get the small roof any longer.

I have on my E61 the Panoramic one, and I am having many problems regarding air noise when I drive over 60 kms per hour. On my BMW dealer they told me that this is it, there is no way to get it solve.

Regards

My e61 with panny roof makes no extra noises. Even with the cover open.
Get them to check it again. Esp the seals.

There as never been a "small roof" on the E61...

My panny roof is also quiet, so let the dealer check it!

My roof is certainly not quite, I always have to shut the sun shade when driving >70 km/h.
But, I insisted to the dealer to change it. It took them 5 months to get a spare glass roof. I'm now about to let them change it, with mixed feelings I must say. I'm not really sure they are up to do it properly, and having a car in and out of the dealer for weeks at a time isn't really my idea of fun...

I have panoramic sunroof on my E61 530XD apr06 car. There is definitely more wind noise above 70~80km/h when the shade is open, but nothing unsustainable or to be worried. I had other cars of other brand with similar options and they had similar wind noise.

When closing the panoramic sunroof screen, there is still some wind noise (I guess all the other noise are so well isolated, that wind is all that can be heard) and it comes from top of windshield. I tried another car without panoramic roof (still E61) at the dealer and it had similar wind noise. So I do not suspect noise come from sunroof. maybe the >200km/h speed....

Anyhow driving with sunroof on sunny day is nice

just need to get some sun in Wales....

How did the change go?

My roof is quiet unless the inner cover is open and you are driving 85 MPH or higher then there is some slight wind noise but cover closed no noise at all.
