I'm looking to see if it's possible to add (smg or ssg) paddles to a e61 with a steptronic tranny. It seems that BMW offered a "Sport Automatic Transmission" on the 535i and 550i sedans in the US. From what I've read this included paddles on the wheel, a sport button by the shifter and rev matching on downshifts.
Is there a way to retrofit this option for a 2009 E61 535i xdrive wagon? Any info you could provide would be really useful. I'm guess its a combination of software and a new steering wheel but have not had much luck finding info online.
