Default E61 M5 tv module location

hi all

just bought an e61 with some issues.

Firstly the panoramic roof has stuck open. How is this fixable .it tries to lower the front section but just pops back up.

Secondly. Did all the m5’s have the tv option in them? It’s listed in the idrive but it’s greyed out and won’t let me select it. I’m thinking the module is buggered but not a clue where it is.

And finaly its it’s coming up in the instrument cluster that I have excessive battery discharch. Is this an alternator fault ir just a case of old battery.

Thanks for for any help.

Helps a little. Thank you

Looks as tho it wasn’t installed on them all.

i assume my car has it as it’s listed in idrive. I had no sound from the radio when I bought the car so looked up bro it and found the dab tuner was unplugged and looked rusty as if water had gotten into the boot. I replaced it and all good.I assume the last owner disconnected it along with tv module but I can’t seem to locate the tv unit.

I also need need to look into haw the water got into the boot in the first place.

Your drain lines get easily clogged up. In the US BMW recently accepted to issue a recall, after a class action suit, and they're relocating all the electronics in the wheel well, from under the spare tire to the driver side, they will replace any busted electronics as well at no cost to you. You might want to check if they offer the same to you...they will also clean your drain lines.
