Can you fit an OEM M5 rear on an e61?

I think I've seen an Mtech rear with dual quad exhausts, but never an M5 rear. Keep us posted if you find one!

the demand on the market is too small to offer any aftermarket replica bumpers..

The only possibility is to order it directly through the bmw dealer or you have to take a look at ebay...

But in both cases it won't be cheap at all..

BTW: you have to rework the exhaust, because if you mount the bumper with the OEM exhaust it will melt the bumper..

I Know! It's easy to get exhaust! There are plenty of them (M5 exhaust!)selling ebay.
I want to make sure if I can get the rear bumper before I buy the exhaust.

I don't think it's his car, he's from Oslo and the number plate on the car says Berlin..
anyway, the car above is a replica M5, I know this because I know the car from a german BMW Forum and if I remember it's a 530d or 535d..

As you can see, he has also an aftermarket exhaust.
The M5 bumper will fit perfectly with a normal non M5 car, you need to modify the rear the same way as you would mount an M- rear bumper.

I searched quite a lot with my old car, but the search is tedious, it's hard to find a wagon M5 bumper on ebay..I think if you buy it trough BMW they will charge you about 600-700? without paint, means ~1000? for the bumper, without the new exhaust..then you need the side brackets for mounting the bumper, if you don't have the M-bumper already..

very expensive, but try your best..

btw: the whole M5 exhaust will not fit your wagon, because there is the spare tyre compartment that won't allow you to mount the right-side exhaust.
The M5 don't have this big compartment.you can only mount a muffler that starts from the original exhaust, but without resonator, only 2 tips are visible from the outside. Most exhaust systems like this are available for about 1000?-2000?.

Check out this post by member Tiago. He fitted an Eisenmann M5 exhaust to his 535d Touring. It includes an explanation on how he did it, what needs changing underneath, and lots of great pictures.

As for sourcing the part in the US, I would approach the vendor who has a Sticky at the top of the "Accessories, Parts and Mods forum", namely BMW of Newport, who offer a 25% discount to members of this forum. Here is the link.

Not sure who else can supply discounted BMW parts on your side of the pond -- in Continental Europe I tend to advise Schmiedmann and Salesafter.
