E61 535 oil change
#1
I have a 2008 535 xi wagon and live about 250 miles from the nearest dealer. I purchased an oil filter from the dealer and the oil filter canister wrench, but I can't find the crankcase capacity anywhere in the manual. I know the car has free oil changes, but sometimes I need to do it myself. Does anyone know the capacity? Thanks

Hi namesake,
Even if you have a long way to the dealers, drive there!
Just explain your thing and have them to it while waiting.
That is once a day trip, all in all.
BUT if you change your oil yourself, read the manual for oil brand and measures.
Your car is really not a old V8 truck from the 70's!
Also remember to order and change the oil plug gasket as well. plus of course the oil filter.
But how you can null the iDrive, I don't know and is there a oil plug at all ...
