Hi Guys, I need help please.
I have purchased comfort/heated seats from e60 2005/04 and want to swap my half electric/heated seats on e61 2004. I had them inside, connectors does fit but pin outs are slightly different in yellow connector. I cannot find wire codes anywhere as which wire does what. After turning ignition on, seat side support does automatically close in and when ignition off, it opens. So clearly seats does have power, but I cannot adjust neither of them with switches. There are black and red wires in seat yellow connector which are not fitted in the connector from the car. Also old seats does have power feed in the yellow connector and black power connector, new seats does not. on this site I found I would need to purchase this cable to retrofit my seats: http://www.caraudioexpress.co.uk/bmw...ment-loom.html
I think for simple wire with connectors, 140 quid per seat, this is little too much
but this is black and red wires I am missing in the yellow plug. Does anybody know what do I need to do to make them work, and what are the wires in the yellow connector.
Somebody suggested I would need to program my car too when retrofitting seats. If so, is there a good guide how to? I got my laptop with progman sss and dis working.
you can see some connectors pics here: http://profile.imageshack.us/user/mjojom/

thank you

Sorry I can't help you much, but you sure need some new wiring and you definitely need to code the seats into your car.
Contact member BLOOD to ask about programming.

I remember reading a similar post on this, and if I recall it correctly it's quite a job as you also need to reprogram the CCC as it needs to "open up" for some of the functions. Hope BLOOD can help you out with the details!
