My Ride: Late 2005 M5 in Silverstone Metallic II with Full Black Leather Interior. SMG, LOGIC7, Heated Front Seats, Rear Electric Sun Blind, Comms Package, Professional Nav, TV Function, Extended Voice Control, Adaptive Headlights
I don't see why not. I don't think there is any difference in width....

Not 100%, because the M5 front bumper is wider due to wider front fenders of the M5.
However, there are aftermarket M5 lookalike bumpers that will fit.

1986 Audi 100CC, funky fresh steel rims w plastic covers, rubber lip on boot.....
1987 BMW 320i, 15" alloys + rubber lip on boot :)
1982 Opel Ascona 1,6DL, tinted windows and a big-ass subwoofer :P
If you're not anal about a perfect fit it's OK. I had it and the small shift in fender and bumper fitment was disturbing the first few days but eventually I stopped noticing it. You can search some old threads on this and you'll find some pictures I took on my setup.

As you already know ... sedan >< wagon ... some are interchangable but not all parts.They may look the same from the rear door to the front of the car ...as far as the rear take a look the tail light shaped different, the sedan trunk opening shaped different then the wagon gate opening ...
You can fit E61 M5 rear bumper ...
You can compare your self between M5 sedan & wagon part #1 as far rear bumper shape:
