Default Diversity Antenna water damage

My central lock using the FOB stopped working after a heavy rain and we were unloading the trunk. so I searched and found a thread about the Diversity Atenna being water damaged. Next morning I opened up the spoiler where it is located and found it filled with water and the diversity module was soaking wet. I try to use electronic cleaner and dry it up to see if this fixes it but it is dead.

Where can I purchase this module at a discount price in Ontario since the dealer wanted $467+tax for it?

Lots of people with 3 series buy their parts from this BMW dealer, quite cheap.

BMW Parts and Accessories at GetBMWparts.com

I believe they ship to Canada too, if not, hopefully you can pick up across border somewhere. Otherwise, Ebay I've seen a few buy from.

Diversity antenna? You mean the micro power module right? It should be very very difficult to flood the diversity antenna... your car would be totaled.

No, you're wrong. The diversity antenna is in the rear spoiler:

RealOEM.com * BMW E61N 535xi SINGLE PARTS F ANTENNA-DIVERSITY

Here's the part # on it: 65209183563

Seems to have come down from around $300 US to $235 even at the place above I provided the link to.

I am confused is what I am lol. Because people discuss the flooding of the MPM, not the diversity antenna as far as I am aware. And for that to get water damaged, that means the rear windshield seal is compromised??

Actually when the tail gate is open, and it is raining, the water would runoff straight back into the spoiler where the diversity antenna is hidden. Very poor design.

The spoiler is outside the windshield...
