My 08 battery is still going strong with 55,000 miles on it.
Did let the car sit for over a month one time and ran into low battery message. I charged it using a typical 10 amp charger and still had issues. Then left on a 1.5 amp battery tender for a few days and the battery has been fine for over a year.
I do know that I will probably go OEM when it is time. The battery will also need to be coded. The way I look at it the car is a electronic beast and I do want to take a chance to save $200+/-.
