I just got a new-to-me E61 in blue with the Dakota cream beige (I think is the technical name for the color) black and tan interior. It didn't have the cargo cover, and I'm trying to figure out what color it's supposed to be so I can try to track one down. The seats are beige, and the trim on either side of the cargo area is black. So either way, it's going to mismatch somewhere. What color would it have been from the factory?

It is the same color as your interior, since yours is cream beige, you should get the same one, see here #1 on realoem for all the part#s based on color.

I finally found some photos of old auction house listings that had black and tan interiors. Both had black cargo covers.

In that case, you should just get 'SCHWARZ' cover. Glad you found the old pictures.

I've got a black one if you want. It came with my car and one end of it was a bit broken so that the spring is missing for the mesh screen that goes up vertically. The pull out cargo cover piece works totally fine, just the piece that goes up to the roof won't retract on its own. Let me know if you want more info. I bought another used one, hence why I have this.
