Recently discovered a problem with the my boot cover, .... under the rear bar that fixes the rolers on either side, a few centimetres in from either side there is a rivet - the material was coming away/tearing. Don't know whether it is a one off - but it is worth others checking.

Took it to BMW garage & fair enough they took one look and ordered a whole new rear shelf assembly under warranty. Returned 1 week later - 5 minute job to replace it.

Good service in that respect - but I do wonder whether this may be a design fault?

Please see pics for where to look.............

I guess it's not a common problem then !!

That's good.

I checked mine and can report:

1) The rivets are black in colour and not silver as I would have expected.
2) The fabric is 'straining' but so far the assembly remains intact.

I'll keep an eye on it though - thanks for the heads up!
