So yesterday when i got off work my car was completely dead tried to jump it from the engine bay cause i heard you can hurt the electronics by jumping it directly on the battery , but after trying to jump it and leaving it to charge for a bit i got tired of waiting and tried to connect it directly to the battery and it started first try so i wonder why did it not start when it was connected to the charging terminals in the engine bay

Bad positive cable going to the back maybe? What size jumper cables do you have. If it's not a 4 gauge or bigger that could very well be your issue.

I used 4 gauge jumper cables, The lights inside the car turned on when i connected it to the terminals but its didn't seem to have enough power to start the car.
