Looking to some bad experiences that many members already had, I was aware that sooner or later I would have some injection problems. Thus it happened, yesterday evening on the way back from the airport. The car shook few times when pushing on the gas and looked like some cylinders were missing. Warning led lit up on the cockpit advising that there is an engine fault and that it lost power. Have taken the car to the service this morning and looks like the high pressure injection pump does not work properly. Let's hope to have the car back soon.

Let's hope, in the mean time they gave me a brand new Alfa Romeo 159, 2.4 JTD from the local Avis rent.

Good Luck. It took them 10 days to replace my High Pressure Fuel Pump. 5 days later, my Tire Pressure Monitor goes off stating all 4 tires are bad. Checked and they were all fine - I even used 2 different gauages, analog and digital.

Reported to BMWNA and advised to bring in for diagnostics. The day before I take it in, the Bluetooth goes bonkers. The morning of the service take-in all my memory settings are gone - like a factory reset. So no mirrors, seats, Satellite, loca radio, navigation....nothing!

They have the car now for 3 days and still no idea what is going on. They have asked for all my keys thinking it is related to my comfort access. I asked them if they are replacing the computer and the service advisor has no idea how BMW NA wants this issue handled.

I should mention that I have written to the VP of Sales and they have assigned me a personal Customer relations person with my issues.

My advise, document all the steps you take in resolving this issue with them.

Marco, this is really bad news! I'm surprised they haven't fixed this problem... Also, I remember you got your car just after me, right? So that means that I'm also in the danger zone...

Yep, looks like. Mine has been produced the 04/07. Cross your fingers as you could be in the danger zone as well.

Good luck to you both. Mine was made 5/07 and I got it June. They are updating my software to version 51.1 - a new one from Germany.

Mine is 06/2007 and a software update didn't help... Keep your fingers crossed. I'm starting to doubt whether BMW actually has a grip on this issue...
