Hi,

I'm new to this forum having come back to BWM after a few years with a Merc (long story don't ask!)

Anyway I've just bought a 525d SE E61 which - apart from having to replace a cracked alloy - is running fine and have a weird problem where the auto button on the climate control keeps switching itself off. Anyone else have this?

I am not a petrol head or expert and my knowledge of motor mechanics would probably fit on the back of a stamp so please be gentle!

Sorry if this has already been discussed - had a scan through the topic but couldn't find a thread.

 

Get it read out, it should not switch off, probably it is off because of a fault.
