My Ride: 2010 bmw 535i drive touring
Alcan5000.com in a 2010 E61 535 x drive
Hey folks,
We will be participating in the Alcan 5000 tsd rally starting the last week in Feb. Looking for a little insight into how the E61 performs in the extreme cold temp's that we could be encountering.
We will be be running Nokian Hakkepelitta R2's. I just a installed new battery along with a battery blanket. Any advice on an oil pan heater? Is it necessary?
After the Drive from Denver to Puyallup, WA, we will be changing the oil to Liqui-moly 0w-40.
Should we change the gearbox/ rear diff oil?
The car is currently at 54k. Any other service recommendations? What spare parts should we carry?
