Default Alarm issue

My remote locking is not working after checking and replacing the rear wiring around the boot, I have checked the diversity antenna and it looks fresh, undamaged or corroded.

Could it be a fuse issue?

I am using the emergency key at the moment until we can figure it out however each time I use the key to unlock the car the alarm is set off until I get the fob in the ignition.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this ?

Thanks for any advice in advance

Hm.I think you need to check if there is a signal from the antenna first, just to make sure it isn't the culprit - the issue with the antenna is a fairly common one I'm afraid.

Thanks for that information, this may be a foolish question but how do I check? As far as I can tell using the key it's dead.

Is there a fuse I can remove for the alarm in the mean time?

All has been resolved. Diversity antenna was as suspected the culprit. Much happier now I can get in and out without racing to turn the alarm off
