Hello,

Although our 530d is an LCI, we have a compressor failure...

The compressor can still pump, it just doesn't have enough power to lift the car any more. So right now, I fix the ride level manually, by lifting the car with a jack, and switching the right valves. The compressor can then just fill the bellows at low pressure, and when I drop the car, the hight is perfect (after some playing around with it).
I will replace the compressor in 2 weeks, when the car is back home (it's 1500km away ). But I do need a temp solution to make it work slightly easier.

As I'm nowhere near the car at the moment (in another country), I can't check the car myself. But I have to verify something. So I hope some of you can help me.

What I need to know, is what kind of connection there is between the compressor, and the valve block. From the pictures I've seen, it is a metal pipe connecting the 2 together, with a screw connection on both sides.
Looking at this: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E6..._ctrl_unit/#19
Number 19 (37 22 1 092 403) is a screw type connection for the hoses for the air bellows. Does anybody know if that same connection fits on the other side of the valve block and the compressor? I can imagine it does, but maybe they used a larger type on the feeding line.

If anybody knows the thread size, that would be great as well. What tubing do they use, is it 4mm ID or OD?

Any input is welcome!
Thanks
Tom

my suggest for Your temporary solution is like You did, lift it up manualy, then remove conectors from Compressor, from both valves at valve block and one connector at air compressor dryer side, it think its like some kind of pressure release valve.
errors should apear but anyway You can drive very long time till You fix
