Congrats on two counts! Becoming a father and the new E61. I too just became a father and my E61 is awaiting shipment. Post pics when you get the car.

Quick question - how long does it usually take for a car to be delivered once it's on its way from the factory? I think mine was dispatched yesterday.

I'm in the UK by the way.

The "old" standard answer was 4 weeks, but nowadays it fluctuates a lot. Mine was almost 4 weeks...

I got my LCI E61 1st of June and was expecting my second child. The car is great and the child is expected in November. It seems that the delivery time of a child is somewhat longer than that of the E61

Yeah thats right Gorban !

But mind you, the child gets smarter by the hour whereas the e61 is suffering from old age already after a couple of years

Hi All,

I'm looking forward to receiving my new e61 - will be deep sea blue, like the one above. The dealer has told me it has been dispatched, and it's already been registered, now it's just the waiting!

Ours will also have: Natural brown leather comfort seats (which I've not seen in the "flesh", so quite nervous!). Panoramic sunroof, USB audio, Professional Nav, Bluetooth, manual rear blinds. It'll be a 530d automatic. Again, I've not driven an LCI 530d, so nervous about that, but I'm sure it'll be fantastic! I've test-driven pre LCI E60 530d's, and enjoyed them, so I can only imagine the LCI will be even better (235bhp, 500Nm torque)...

The e61 replaces a 1999 530d touring, which was Sienna Red with grey leather comfort seats.

Will post photos when I get the car.
