I have a 2006 530XiT with the automated dual-clutch transmission and 129,000 miles. I recently noticed, when backing from a driveway with the rear of the car pointing down a fairly steep hill, that the car will drift backwards a surprising amount, even though I am accelerating in drive. I never noticed this before. Is this a sign of worn clutches? I don't think the transmission is slow to shift from reverse to drive, since I don't notice this when the car is on level ground. I never really knew what the signs of a worn clutch are with this transmission.
