Default 2010 535i e61 help

I have been getting intermittent 30FF and 30FC codes. Odometer currently is at 159,000 miles. I noticed the car seems to lag and shifts hard sometimes especially going into 3rd gear. It is an automatic. I have done the transmission service less than 2 years ago. Would it be the wastegates going bad or the turbos are about to give out? Or maybe I need to run a smoke test and start from there first?

I would look to see if your diverter valves are clogged then troubleshoot from there.

Running into the same codes on my 2010 535xi touring 187k miles, only get it after WOT for a long time. Will be replacing all my vacuum lines with new silicone and doing a aftermarket charge pipe and BOV.

When my turbo wastegates were failing I would get a 30ff code at 2,500 rpm with a lot of throttle demand. Is your situation similar?

The fault code 30FF is often associated with wastegate-related problems. Wastegates control the amount of exhaust gas flowing into the turbocharger, regulating its speed and preventing over-boost. If the wastegates are malfunctioning or sticking, it can lead to poor turbocharger performance and affect the engine's power and response.
