Evening all, having problems with my boot/tailgate wiring as both key fobs have stopped working (fitted brand new diversity antenna) I took the glass boot lid off, and unwrapped the loom by the right hand hinge, there are a few clean breaks in some wires but I don’t think my repair has been good enough as the wires were beyond the hinge making it very difficult to access.
Can I reach the same loom if I take the ceiling mounted speaker out??
also, I snapped the heated rear screen tab clean off the glass, is there any way to rectify that??
Many thanks

My dad has used something like this to reattach the wire tabs to the window in his old VW Rabbit.

Yep when I touched up my wiring I removed the speakers from the headliner, disconnected all the connections on each side, and just snaked it back through the speaker hole.
You will see a bulkhead rubber with a bolt; gotta undo that
