I'm wondering why BMW is not providing E61 with rear rims (and tyres) of 275/40-18" when mounting 124 style rims, like E60.
It would be very awsome, if possible. So far I have seen only E61 with four 245/40-18" with 124 style rims.
Anyone knows why?
Thanks

well, I checked the space for rear wheels and for E60 is a way wider than E61's.
But i can't figure out how Schnitzer can fit 295/25-20" on the rear and 255/30-20" on the front of any E61.

Happy New Year !
i'm sure this wheels will fit easily ,
but bmw just not doing it. For example the new M-Pack
for E60/E61 has only 245 wide too...
You can put it on , no question .. but here in germany you need tuev/or a
special paper from BMW to be allowed...

I'm also a little "pissed" of this feature since I was expecting 275 in the rear as the E60. I still haven't ordered my E61 as I'm waiting to see if there are news about the restyling of the 5 series as it has been discussed earlier.
I asked two of the local bmw dealers and no one knew why the larger tires where not included with the E61.
