Didn't want to make this a poll, as those usually come out a little skewed on this type of topic.

We are looking to do the E61 M5 Rear Bumper Conversion - there are actually 3 customers asking us to do this, though 2 have committed. We can source these bumpers from overseas (UK) but obviously, shipping only 1 bumper is cost prohibitive while shipping 30 bumpers is a bit foolish if demand isn't there.

So, for now, we're looking to get a list together, then get pricing for you based on the list (it will really only vary significantly with the shipping only).

Please follow the format as much as possible, makes it easy to export into Excel.

Name, Bumper type (Quad M5 Bumper, Mtech Single Output, Mtech Dual Output), Name (optional), $ Range

0. Umnitza, Quad M5 Bumper, M, $500-900
1.

Ideally, the sweet spot for shipping will likely be 10 units (you can get 10 of them on a single pallet)

ALSO, as reference, check out this page and the information below: http://www.salesafter.eu/product_inf...2c780e8e5d890c

It seems there are other parts required, but it's always conflicting as to which ones there are:

I was told the following parts are needed by a BMW dealer:
51127897267 Bumper cover 583.00
51127897269 Tow flap 9.65
51111973721 H/ strap .62
51127897215 Cover diffuser 43.00
07149156623 Screw X 4 .56
07146954937 Nut X 4 0.14
51127897195 Mount 24.00
51127897196 Mount 24.00
51127897144 Guide 20.00
66206989105 Sensor Black? 156.00 X 4
61126928366 Cable assm 58.00
Total 1389.03
Plus shipping

Another person was told these totally different parts are needed!
1 x 51127033712 Carrier, bumper rear
1 x 51127060796 Bumper mounting right
1 x 51127060797 Bumper mounting left
1 x 51127897144 Guide , buttom center (uden træk)
1 x 51127178189 Guide, buttom center (med træk)
1 x 51717897203 cover, wheelhousing, left
1 x 51717897204 cover, wheelhousing, right

Whatever vendor comes up with the correct information wins... as everyone with a wagon is itching to do this mod and we are having a hell of a time getting the right information.

thanks Umnitza for being so proactive!

I need to replace my rear bumper and this may be an option...

Does the M5 bumper have cut outs for quad exhasut? do you need to change anything else other than the bumper and mounting componenets? I gues PDC is a different bumper as well?

Alex, my pleasure
I think we can bring it in, I should know more tomorrow.
Already 5 total bumpers, this looks to be a winner.

To be clear however for some of you. The sides and front are reps no matter what, we have no intention of bringing in brand new OE bumpers when the Mtech we are getting and M5tech work so well.

This is ONLY for the rear bumper and that for right now seems to be ONLY OEM and only M5 style or Mtech.
and that is the price I'm quoting for just the bumper - $500-900 for the bumper.
The rest of the kit will be extra ($350 front/$200 sides)

Tomorrow, when we get quotes, we'll run this group buy on 3-4 other forums, we'll see if those folks are interested as well.

while you're at it... make sure you get all the details on what it takes to mount these with the different LCi requirements/mounting points as you'll be dealing with this issue a lot!
