Yeah, I know what you mean, and sorry I am just little provocative here...maybe too much scotch in Christmas eve...

EuroCarFan Are you sure that your whole setup 20" wheel+rubber is lighter than oem 18" ?

In previous car that I had, I put 18" replacing the factory 16", and I do admit that the handling was little bit crispier, but
overall driving was reduced so much that I decided not to take that road anymore (It was Audi thought... :'( )

I mean factories do a quite a lot work testing the car, and choosing the best setup for each modell.

I remember asking for specs of the stock 18 setup vs the R10 setup in 20s on this forum last year before I purchased my wheels and the responses I got were that the R10s were lighter wheel-to-wheel. People had posted the weights of the two wheels. Also, the stock runflat tires are heavier due to the reinforced sidewalls. I just forgot the exact weight differences.

got the maya's installed today w/ the 295/35/20 rear tire and guess what? Scrubs over the slightest bump with my 35 lb daughter in the back! Oh well back to the shop tomorrow, guess I'll go to 285 or roll the fenders

good choice for the 20's. The e60's wheel well is pretty forgiving. Me personally if i can find some 21"s Id get them
