What is the difference between these two parts?

Need to order for 08 550i but trying to find out the difference and want to avoid ordering wrong part.

Yes, it is still showing both p/n as active.

So far I had no luck in finding out the difference therefore I'm stuck as might end up ordering a wrong part.

Who are you ordering from? They should be able to help you make the right choice or accept the return if they advise you incorrectly.

Checked in 2 different places and both confirmed 51317027916 is the part number, ordered online as it came less expensive than from dealer.
The other part number is for climate comfort vehicles, I guess this was not an option in US.

You can use the VIN decoder to see if any of the options (S106A,S356A,S357A) listed for the other part number is applicable for your VIN. You are probbably correct with 51317057415.
