hello, anybody install this on a manual transmission 530i, you guys think I should give it a go.

Product details:

Another innovative UUC engineering breakthrough!

Our lightweight flywheel kit specifically for the 330 6-speed eliminates the SAC (Self Adjusting Clutch) mechanism of the original design, instead utilizing a high-capacity standard-style pressure plate and sprung-hub clutch.

Options include standard organic material (ideal for street-driven cars and light track use), a kevlar material (road race cars only), and a multi-puck ceramic clutch for turbo/supercharger cars and drag-racing.

Price Details

Option SKU Price
Performance Organic - street and occassional track E463306FLYUUC-3306S-B13OO $1,149.00
UltraSmooth CeraMetallic- high power / track cars E463306FLYUUC-3306S-B13PL $1,299.00
Ceramic multi-puck- high power/drag racing E463306FLYUUC-3306S-B13MP $1,249.00

Nope

I installed the same thing in my 06 M3, for about a week. The noise from the transmission (severe rattling whenever the car was in neutral) was ridiculous. Wasted a LOT of money having the transmission dropped again to put a factory clutch and flywheel back in. The sales pitch that the "sprung hub clutch" prevents transmission rattle is total BS. This is a track car Mod.

Thanks for the feedback, so what your telling me is this a no go, and I should just buy a bmw made clutch? Which would you prefer Sach's or LUK's

Definite no go from my perspective, OEM clucth is the way to go. That is what I went back to in my M3. I don't have a preference on Sach's vs LUK. I would ask Bavauto, those guys have a lot of experience with OEM parts. Also IMO the flywheel is the most important part in a clutch set up.
