Been thinking about this for a while, and it's clearly outside the box, but ovalized side-exit pipes on my 545 would certainly be brazen. This study is still in the feasibility stage. Any thoughts from others?

side exit? they'll be awfully close to ground. and you will probably get more drone noise.

That is false. The area of a 2 1.75" pipes is 4.8 total while a single 3" pipe is 7.065 sq inches.

West, did you keep the factory resonators? I see the other guys have removed them. I want to do this setup but I'm also worried about drone.

10425 Magnaflow Muffler 10425 Satin Stainless 2 $66.80 $133.60
11385 Magnaflow Muffler 11385 Satin Stainless 1 $95.74 $95.74

18207833206 BMW Exhaust Hanger 1 $23.69 $23.69
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total without tax or installation: $428.64
I have this exact set up.. well, actually i have the Magnaflow dual tips instead, and I finally got around to uploading a video now that i'm selling the car, lol.
I put it on Autotrader, 6spd manual btw.

I don't get any highway drone cruising, the only time it gets loud at highway speeds is around 80-85 going up hill under slight accel (mild load), then it gets way quiet around 85+. It's easy to drive it quiet, sometimes easy to drive it "loud", but much more difficult as it's only "loud" under certain conditions/rpm/gears. (nothing factory is after the cats, it's only custom)
With the windows up, you don't hear it much, so to enjoy the sound you have to roll down or crack the windows/sunroof.

wtf is wrong with embedding youtube on here???
