There is no doubt that I am too anal. I am one that can?t understand why BMW choose to put the trunk?s keyhole where they did. My son's 2000 A4, my daughter?s Passats and my daughter's 2005 A4 all found a way to conceal the key hole.
So, I had to plug it. And while I was at it I plugged the driver?s door lock too.
I got the pieces from www.bumperplugs.com. No affiliation and so on?

I have done the same exact thing. Only thing is that I wish the plug for the trunk key hole was bigger.

I agree. I am going to paint the rim to mask the silver rim.
Did you see the one inch ones bimmian has. I bet with a little carving of the entry piece, it would work great for the trunk hole. What do you think. www.bimmian.com

I just emailed bumperplugs.com, to see if they have a 3/4" width key hole cover. This would cover the entire silver area. I will post there reponse.
