My Ride: 545i Jet Black, Auburn Dakota, Sport Package, Logic 7, Red rear reflectors, K&N intake filter

I am considering upgrading my 18" sport wheels & tires (as much as I like them)

I have settled on 19" Monet "New Age" in chrome.

I dug around the forum and seemed to get the following from comments everyone posted:-

Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position - Noisier but good grip

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 - Very quiet, great handling

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S - Best wear and good overall balance, most expensive

.
Can everyone give their opinion as I would like to get these ASAP if the wife approves

Also any comments on Dunlop SP Sport 9000 as these are the ones being offered to me on the package I was quoted from Service Specialists here in Irvine, CA.

As far as I know, the Potenza S-03 is second only to the PS-2's judging from the 1,000+ users that have given feedback at Tirerack.com. Also, the S-03 is not a runflat tire.

The Dunlop SP Sport 9000's are priced much lower than the competitors in the 'Max Performance Summer' category of tire. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad tire so take that for what it's worth. However, if you decide to get these, there has been a $50 rebate on purchasing 4 of them at Tirerack for quite some time now.

My personal opinion is to stay with any of the three tires you listed, but based on your driving style, be prepared to replace them sooner than usual. Afterall, you get what you pay for.

Just out of curiosity, what tire dimensions are you looking to get?

Sorry, misread the RF load rating to mean runflat on the tirerack website.

245/35 front & 275/30 rear iss what I think but dlr suggesting 285/30 for rear which I don't think I agree with

Well, a 285/30 is exactly the tire size I'm going with. It works just fine with a 10" wide wheel.

I also have heard of others using 275mm tires on the rear with 10" wide wheels and it gives the shoulder of the tire a rounder appearance.

These were one of the tires I was also considering at the time I was looking for new tires. I didn't go with these because I wanted better tread-life on dry road use.

Seriously, I would stick with the original three you had in mind. Those three were at the top of your list for a reason.
