I have sport seats in my e90- they are awesome for sporty driving, but are a bit hard for my old 40+ YO bones sometimes.

The wife and I recently drove and fell in love with the seats in a '11 550i Gran Turismo, with the multi-contour seats.

I'm looking for a 5 series with the multi contour but they are hard to find outside of the 550, and I'm beginning to shy away from the 550i and look at the 530 (n55 like my e90) as I'm pretty familiar with that engine and it has been reliable for me.

I want a comfortable highway cruiser- are the multi-contour a must-have versus the standard or sport seats? Are they exact same as the 550GT or will I be disappointed?

Understand that BMW's in my part of the world are few and far between so its very hard for me to find ones to test drive. Thanks!

You should pick those with comfort seat option $456 anf call it a day

comfort seats (S456) are the best BMW seats period.
E60 were not offered with N55 engine. Perhaps you meant N52.

Just a feeler on comfort seats for e60. This is my car and seats were retrofitted

Yes sorry for the typo. I do have the N52. Is the E60 the same or is it direct injected?

I couldn't see a pic richie, but that says a lot that you were willing to do the work to retrofit them (they must be worth it!)

You can retrofit the seats. They will bolt in with no trouble.

Keep in mind that the F07 5GT is not actually a 5-series. It's built on the 7 platform, so the ride quality could be different.

I read that the GT is probably more spacious inside, especially the back. I've even seen it discussed that the GT MC seats are softer than the 5 series MC seats...

Hopefully I'll get to actually try out a 5 with the MC seats soon, has to be more luxurious than my e90.

Long story short...My dad just bought an F10 535xi with the comfort seats and after riding a long distance with him, I just pulled the trigger on a set of comfort seats I'm going to retrofit into my e60. I'm excited!
