Guy those of you who are tired of the old and slow iDrive system now can swap to a new iDrive system with internal Hard Drive and High Definition screen.

These are just a few features that you get with the new iDrive:

- New controller (CON) with short cuts to (CD/Radio , Tel, Navi, Menu )
- DVD in motion playback without adding any extra modules to your car
- You can send Google directions right to your car
- Check weather, stocks, e-mails

Options like front camera, back up camera (non-bmw) can be also added at the same time.

Also, those of you who doesn't have Navigation system at all, now you can also get a new iDrive and the Navigation system.

This is what the old iDrive looks like:

Pm me if you have any questions.

i'm guessing this will require dealer programming, and cost an arm and a leg.

Coding is required but i doubt you can get it done at the dealership.

I can code it for you. I can code many thing like folding mirrors, oem alarm, dvd in motion, euro lights, etc. Coding is done remotely so you don't need to go anywhere ... All you need is a good wireless internet !

The cost of the retrofit varies on the options you are looking to get.

how is the coding done remotely? connect a laptop to car??
what if the connection is lost temporarily, then what happens?

Well, you need to insure that you have a good connection.

I send all the hardware but you need to make sure your internet is fast and that connection will not be interrupted.

With a good connection it takes about 20-30 min to code a car with a simple coding like folding mirrors or dvd-in motion ...

When swapping idrive, it takes a bit longer to get everything done right !

There is no fixed price. You need to PM me and tell me what you would like to get done.

The price of the very simple iDrive swap with no extra options is about the same what BMW would charge you when ordering a new car. But you still have your old iDrive that can be sold to reduce the overall cost.

Coding is not expensive, iDrive components are.

You will have to keep your old idrive just in case you have to do major reprogramming to the car. I know from experience
