Model Year: 2008
M5 Shift Knob retrofit.
wires from m5 shifter
1(white wire) R indicator
2 N indicator
3 D/S indicator
4 ground dim lighting
5 +12 driving light illunation
6 +12
(X1599)
Large White Connector
brown
red
orange
yellow
(X1193)
Small white Connector
gray/red
brown/black
(X1600)
Small Maroon/or Purple Connector
blue/white
red/orange
the connections
from M5 wires
1.wire to (X1599) red
(start from the White wire)
2.wire to (X1599) orange
3.wire to (X1599) yellow
4.wire to (X1193) grey/red
5.wire to (X1193) brown/black
6.wire to (X1600) red/orange
I have 2005 530i (I used only used wire "tap in" from Radio Shack..)
Hope this helps..someone should do a DIY..sorry no pictures..
