Shipping Bumper
Hey guys.. Please help..
I have the M5 goodies on my car and I've just decided to throw my OEM parts on Ebay.. The front bumper sold pretty quick but im struggling to ship it from RI to FL.. I charged 100 dollars for shipping which seems to be pretty normal.. But UPS is wanting 269.00 for shipping label.. And Fedex won't let me ship it unless its Air.. because dimensions are too big.. So they want lik e1000.00 dollars for air delivery.. What on earth am I doing wrong? I only paid like 100 for fedex delivery through umnitza and I see these bumpers constantly on ebay with free shipping. Its my first sale and I dont wanna start off with negative feedback.. Please help.. Thanks.

Look into Greyhound, yes the bus company. They offer an Express shipping service and if they have stations nearby it is a good way to go since they don't penalize size and weight as aggressively as other carriers.

Eat the price difference and use UPS. Many companies, like Umnitza, have volume agreements and get much better rates. Always best to determine shipping costs ahead of time

Other options include (but aren't usually good because you need an account):
Pilot Freight, Seko Logistics, RL Carrier, and Vision Express. All LTL carriers.
If you do not have success with Greyhound, and because you've been a good customer, we may be able to do it for you through our freight carrier. It will likely require you to drive the bumper to their freight location as they usually only deliver to residential addresses but charge $25-50 pick up fees.

grey hound isnt gonna work for ebay. .I orderedd bumper from umnitza once and it took almost 2 months to get it. Bumpers are too big and passengers alwasy take priority.. Soemthign isnt making sense. People only charge like 100 bucks for shipping on ebay for bumpers

I would say the cheapest is most likely thru Shippi.com. They can give you packing tips. You can call them or quote and book online.
