Replacement of L+R front CA door handles

Just wanted to ask someone who had gone through this.

My both left and right handles with Comfort Access option started to malfunction at some point and it caused high drain battery issue. I decided to disable CA until I find two other handles for the replacement.

No questions for the right handle. But if I search parts on RealOEM I get two options:

- 51217169173: Carrier with catch, with key left
- 51217191921: Carrier with catch, coded left

Again, pretty much self-explanatory. If I went for new parts I would just get second one and that would need no lock replacement.
But since I am in Baltics we have a lot of donors here so I am definitely going for this cheaper option.

The question is: can I just take the left handle from another car and then only take the needed part (without outside handle itself and without that other lock) so I would still have my original handle and my original lock?

Thank you.

Cal locksmith boston firm, they have technicians who can handle such problems.

I think I am experiencing this exact problem. I often see high battery drain. I remember finding some error in log when I last ran diagnostics on my car. I believe that I need to replace the door handle as well. Did you ever end up doing this and did it resolve the issue?

Do a parasitic draw test to verify it's your issue. It's the easiest way.
