Talking

Hi all,

Well, it's been a few months since I got my baby and have to say, love it more each day. My issue (won't say problem, cuz it's not) is that I do like to speed, as much as possible, whenever possible. So considering a radar detector. I did a search and saw some great instructions for mounting it near the rear view mirror but what I want/need to know is which model/brand of radar detector you use, have used etc. Also, the good, the bad, the ugly, etc.

I like the idea of the cordless one, I can't stand to have anything hanging in my line of sight while driving... so tips, suggestions thoughts, etc.... are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Haha... I like the way you think. Good to see you back on the board. Anyway, you will get a lot of replies that Valentine One (V1) is the BEST. And, they are right. It is. After you get the V1, do a search here for how to hardwire it. You'll find it in the DIY forum.

Oh, did I mention I have the V1?

Doesn't matter what you call me. There are still folks here that call me jiio. No biggie. Speaking of names, looks like I'll be headed back to Vegas soon and get trashed again.

V1 does not come cordless. Just hardwire the V1. Picture is of Don Juan's setup. Mine looks exactly like this. Here is the link to the thread. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=708&st=0

no it does not come with cordless option but there is small interface remote display module to use with it take a look at this

the best thing about V1 is it detects the radar gun`s laser beam from miles away even the road is
uneven it detects and warns you how far is it how many of them and strength!

I love my Escort 8500 X50. Works great with very few false alarms. Lots of mags rate it higher than the V1, but I have no experience with the V1. V1 has the direction arrows which tell you which way the radar is coming from.

The Escort is about $300.
