EUR 5200 for LSD diff

!!!!!

Ok guys, I will order 3.15 from bimmerworld.com ring and pinion for ?350 .
And ?500 for mount it .

RD, wake up, 3.23 645ci manual/SMG diff costs less than 1500 EUR at the dealer!

Did someone call Dinan to ask for price of new LSD 3.45 and if it is possible to have 3.23 or 3.15 ?

EDIT : only a good news : RD told me that are not needed SW upgrades or other .. Only mount the part .

No man,
I haven't had the time to call or write Dinan lately. Maybe after the New Year.

Yes, now I am going to reply to him and say "Why should I buy 3.23 open diff from you for ?2800, if at my dealer the 645ci 3.23 diff costs 1500 ?!?!??!?!" .
What an idiot!

Alex, you are refering to these RD final drive ratio's ?
2800euros for any of these ring and pinion mods ?

Racing Dynamics differentials-ringandpinion.jpg

Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 4,10:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,91:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,73:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,64:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,46:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,23:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 3,15:1
Final Drive Ratio Conversion to 2,96:1

It's not cheap, for sure. But I have a different perspective. This mod will immediately offer you .2 sec off your 0-100. In and out job. No software update as you mentioned - and so on. Difficult to trace by BMW or your insurance company.

Just maybe, ( I doubt it) you're able to achieve the same result with a :
1. ECU (1250euros at Wetterauer) - will get erased with a software update = hassle
2. air filter (70 K&N) = maintainance
3. exhaust - the x-pipe with quad ( not just a muffler) (anywhere from 1300-3500euros) = not the best value for money, more of a dynamics sound/optics enhancement ( some performance enhancement)

I have a 3.38 final ratio (auto 545i) - and also looked at the 3,46 from RD. But are you sure the diff from the 645i is a straight fit to the E60 from a chassis standpoint?
1500euros but plus installation at BMW rates = around 2000euros?

Of course all of the above would be nice !!

just my opinion.

It is simply crazy : bimmerworld.com asks $500 for 3.15 .

From RD 2800+installation = 3300e .

just my opinion.
Keep 3.38 andy
