Question about struts for a 07 550i
I'm looking to get new struts for my 07 550i non sport model and I want to make sure I get the right ones due to people say how heavy the v8 engine is sitting in a e60 frame. I want to go with the eibach pro kit for springs. Can anyone suggest struts or a good set up. I was dead set on getting the Koni fsd/eibach setup but I kept seeing comments saying the either don't hold up or they bottom out, so I'm back to the drawing board. So pls chime away..

I've heard that Bilstein with Eibach prokit is good but gives you a raked appearance ( front lower than the rear) I was doing research and decided on Bilstein Pss coilover. It's their entry level coilover with preset damp on the shock and adjustable height on the springs. This makes it so the car looks level from front to back. The ride is slightly firmer but still good. I'm putting them on in June so I'll post a review then.

If you want the stock like ride, you can install the sport springs, it will give a mild drop, with oem ride. Aftermarket springs are usually more harsh or stiffer. Stiffer springs will make the car feel more responsive, but ride may be a little harsh. It all comes down how you drive your car.
