I was wondering if it is possible to transfer the existing xenon bulbs and ignitors/ballasts from my pre-LCI headlight to an LCI headlights. Or do they require different equipment? Does anyone know?
Thanks,
Matt

my car is going into BMW for retrofit programming AGAIN! hopefully, it works this time. if u have D1S bulbs and ballasts, it should work. U may need an ALC and may need an LCM, also retrofit cables, wire it up to the LCM, pain in the ass and headaches. If I can easily reverse this, I wouldve done it. too late now!

Yea i just bought a pair of Euro LCI tails with V3 cables from a member on here. Looking to get the headlights next, seen a bunch in the junk yards, just wondering if I can re-use my stock bulbs/ballasts/ignitors
I'm just going to pay my dealer to wire it all up and program it for me. The PDF from BMW says its a 5.5 hour job. I'd rather pay ~$700 and have my dealer do everything, than risk messing something up myself.

Hi
You don't write/informe witch date your pre-LCI got , if your car ( E60/61) is from 2003 ,start 2004 , your ballast and Xenon bulb won't fit the LCI headlight ( old type ballast and D2S bulb ) , but if your car is end 2004 and forward it should fit ( be able to transfer to the LCI headlights ) , due to the fact that the LCI headlight is with the "new" type of ballast and the D1S bulb.
Good luck on the project
